Myanmar-2008

On May 2nd, 2008, SSF had to urgently intervene in Burma due to the tropical cyclone Nargis. Some coastal villages were completely razed, the transport and communication infrastructures were unusable whereas the drinking water and the electricity were cruelly lacking and the disease and the hunger threatened the Burmese survivors.

In spite of the refusal of the Burmese Junta to let NGOs enter on the territory, SSF team managed to pass in order to help the local population, provide emergency care and give medical equipment.
